How big is the lantern? 23 cm tall — about the height of a wine bottle. Small enough for a bedside table, big enough to be the thing people notice on a shelf.
Is it battery powered or does it plug in? It is chargeable and works without plug in and comes with C type cable.
How bright is it? Ambient light, not task light. Bright enough to read by at close range and to move around a dark room, not bright enough to light a whole room. That's deliberate — it's built for evenings.
Can I change the brightness? Yes, by pressing and holding the button on the top.
Do I ever need to replace the bulb? No. The LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours — far longer than you'll own it.
How long until it arrives? Made to order and dispatched in 2–4 business days, then 2–6 business days with Australia Post depending where you are. Regional deliveries can take up to 10.
Do you ship internationally? Yes. The shipping fee will be calculated at checkout.
How much is shipping? Free and tracked, on every Australian order, with no minimum.
Is it safe to leave on overnight? Yes. LEDs run cool and draw very little power. We'd suggest not leaving it charging unattended overnight, as with any USB device.
Can I return it if I don't like it? No.
What if it arrives damaged? Email hello@dusknest.com.au with a photo within 7 days and we'll replace it at no cost.
Is it a good gift? It's most of what we sell. It arrives gift-ready, so it doesn't need wrapping.
Can I have my own photo on one? Yes. Upload an image on the product page and we'll email you a preview before anything is printed. Have a read of our Custom Design Terms first — the image needs to be yours to use.
Who makes these? One person, by hand, in Melbourne. Each lantern is folded after you order it, which is why they take a few days.
How do I clean it? Dry microfibre cloth only. No water and no cleaning products — the panels are paper.
